Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery - $2,110 per week in Dickson, TN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Training Must-Have: Labor and delivery experience, including the ability to labor and recover patients and transition newborns. Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other potential obstetric emergencies is preferred. Advanced skills in fetal monitoring, including experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil). Description: This position involves working in a unit with 9 LDRP beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite. Patient ratios include 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections, with couplet care at 1:3. Newborn care is 1:1 until stable, and NICU care is 1:3, requiring 2 NICU nurses to be present. Unit staff consists of regular nurses, with no techs or unit secretaries available. Equipment includes central monitoring systems, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robots for neonatologists, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps. Documentation is completed using Meditech and central monitoring systems. Scheduling requires full-time commitment of 3 shifts per week, including rotating weekends and holidays. Staff may float within the facility as needed, with some being cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU. Daily rounding on all patients is required, including safety rounding. The unit is recognized for its team approach, featuring 6 seasoned RNs with approximately 30 years of experience each. Other experienced nurses on the team range from 7 to 10 years of tenure and are excellent resources.
