Save Job

Young Lives Redeemed provides intensive and comprehensive support services to homeless former foster youth, including connection to trauma-informed mental healthcare, substance abuse treatment, sustainable housing, secondary and post-secondary education, vocational programming, job training and employment. We serve a highly vulnerable population - homeless 18-25 year-old "aged out" foster youth - who are no longer in the foster care system, and therefore not eligible to receive services from organizations which serve current foster youth. Every year, approximately 150 foster youth age out of the foster care system in Orange County alone. Most will end up homeless before turning 21. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have seen an influx of youth seeking our services. Our program provides shelter, safety and stability, and produces self-sufficiency. We are looking for volunteers to support our efforts. Volunteer positions are immediately available in the areas of mentoring youth in our program, assisting in the management of our social media, and assisting in the management of our databases. Volunteers are able to serve during the pandemic due to our observance of social distancing.
