Travel COVID VACCINE REQUIRED: Fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 shot of J&J; If a traveler wants to decline based on a Medical or Religious reason, please have them fill out the appropriate Exemption Form and email it to the address on the form. These should be done ASAP as they have to go through a council to be approved or denied
Unit 7 WEST (Stepdown & Floor) # of beds 32 Total Beds (12 are Stepdown & 20 are 'Floor') Ratios "1:3 for Stepdown 1:4-6 for 'Floor' " Required Certifications BLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients Typical MedSurg population. Chest Pain, COPD, AMS, Pneumonia, UTI, Abdominal Pain, Overflow for most services, hospice (will 'flip' patients to GIP Hospice on 7 West) Experience or 'Must have' skills Unknown Are RNs required to titrate drips? Unknown Common titratable &/or set rate drips Yes - Drips in Stepdown, floor only gets PCAs, heparin, etc. Charge Nurse/House Supervisor They are budgeted for a free charge nurse per unit & House Supervisor is always available Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Run with 4 if fully staffed for 32 beds RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.) Per RT Is there tele on this unit? Monitor techs? RNs read strips? Yes - They have Tele. RN's must be able to read strips in conjunction with the telemetry monitor techs that continuously monitor strips Shifts & Scheduling 7a-7:30p; 7p-7:30a Weekend Requirement 2 Weekends per schedule Holiday Requirement Work into the perm staff holiday schedule Is there a call or standby requirement?
