Director of Pricing Strategy

and lead our Digital Modernization Sector pricing team at our corporate headquarters in Reston, VA. Our sector is dedicated to delivering innovative IT services and solutions, leveraging cloud capabilities and integrating cutting-edge commercial products to drive digital transformation. We are looking for a dynamic leader who combines extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), cost accounting standards (CAS), and a strategic approach to pricing as-a-Service and emerging tech. In this role, you’ll lead and mentor a passionate team of pricing professionals, ensuring they deliver high-quality, compliant, and competitive cost volumes for federal procurement, commercial offerings, and international projects. As a critical business partner, you will collaborate with growth, financial, contracting, HR, global supply chain, and technical teams to develop strategies that meet customer needs while aligning with corporate financial objectives. This role reports to the Vice President of Corporate Pricing. Key Responsibilities: Drive the achievement of sector goals and objectives through the development of compelling, accurate price proposals. Work closely with solution architects and technical teams to convert digital modernization needs into precise, auditable cost estimates and pricing models that evolve with new technologies and delivery methods. Craft and implement comprehensive pricing strategies across various contract types, including firm fixed price (FFP), time & materials (T&M), cost-plus, and hybrid models. Influence and partner with leadership throughout the proposal lifecycle to ensure solutions are profitable and sustainable. Standardize processes and tools, while continuously improving proposal methodologies across the Sector. Oversee talent management, including recruiting, performance reviews, and career development for team members. Delegate tasks within the Sector based on the specifics of each opportunity. Ensure compliance with our DCMA-approved cost estimating system and support audit activities by DCAA and DCMA. Bring subject matter expertise in cost volume and proposal development. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field plus 12+ years of experience in estimating and proposal pricing, including federal and state government contracts and commercial sales. Equivalent experience may substitute for a degree. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Thorough experience in preparing cost proposals that include understanding business risks, pricing strategies, and compliance for U.S. government and commercial contracts. Capability to collaborate with all levels of leadership and staff involved in daily business operations. Exceptional analytical, verbal, written communication, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be a U.S. citizen and capable of obtaining a security clearance as necessary. Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with ProPricer. Pay Range:

Pay Range $134,550.00 - $243,225.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation.
