About the Role
Join us as the Founding School Leader, where you will have the unique opportunity to establish a new public charter school committed to global citizenship, academic excellence, and vibrant, joyful learning experiences. We are in search of a dynamic and mission-driven leader who is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and can cultivate a nurturing school culture that promotes strong relationships among students and teachers.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the school's launch, strategic planning, and the creation of an inquiry-based learning environment that inspires curiosity and growth. You will recruit and develop an exceptional founding team of educators and staff, ensuring instructional excellence while actively engaging with families and the local community to position the school as a trusted and transformative educational option.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership experience in K-8 education, preferably with experience in launching a new school. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree or higher preferred. You should have a proven record in leading diverse teams, coaching educators, and enhancing student outcomes.
Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching, multilingual learner supports, and inclusive special education practices is essential. We seek a leader with strategic and adaptive thinking, integrity, and ethical leadership who can balance long-term vision with effective responsiveness to emerging challenges. Key attributes will include emotional intelligence, cultural competency, and a collaborative approach to building relationships.
