Overview
We are currently seeking a
Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist
in Memphis, TN for our client on a direct hire basis. This individual will lead staff and clients in project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work. Evaluating industrial facilities' compliance status, assisting them in applying for and complying with various environmental permits, and helping facilities identify and comply with other environmental obligations. Responsibilities
Prepare compliance reports in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. Perform environmental compliance audits or assist clients with specific environmental compliance determinations and tasks. Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and hazardous waste contingency plans (HWCPs). Develop and implement environmental permitting and compliance programs for multiple environmental media, including air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and EPCRA. Address non-conformance at client sites through corrective and preventive actions. Project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work associated with environmental regulatory compliance and permitting. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in environmental science, engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant Environmental Compliance experience. Strong consulting and critical thinking skills. Project management experience, including developing scopes of work, cost proposals and schedules, and managing multiple project teams simultaneously. Professional Engineering license, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or other environmental certifications (preferred). Experience with one or more of the following (preferred): SPCC Plans and SWPPPs; EPCRA 312 and 313 reporting; Hazardous waste reporting; Air emission source permitting; Stormwater/wastewater (NPDES) permitting.
