Occupational Therapist needed for acute care hospital working with all age groups. Opportunity for cross training to outpatient rehabilitation for interested employees. Rotating weekend and holidays are required.
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, developing, implementing, and documenting a plan of treatment for patients of all ages in consultation with the referring provider. In addition, this position has the opportunity for clinical supervision of students.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university or college required. Master's degree preferred. Valid Vermont State Occupational Therapist license required upon hire. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification preferred. New graduates in addition to experienced therapists encouraged to apply.
The rehabilitation department provides physical, occupational and speech therapy at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and SVMC's satellite campuses across the region. The rehabilitation program services patients of all ages with many specialty rehab services available including but not limited to vestibular therapy, certified hand therapy and lymphedema therapy.
