Job Description Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiac Intensivist - Pediatric Duration: Permanent, Full-Time Shift: Varied Intensive Care Unit coverage, typically 12-hour or 24-hour shifts Hours per Shift: Exact time not specified Experience: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology with extra year of CICU training License: Nevada Medical License or eligibility to obtain Certifications: DEA, CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start)
Must-Have: Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology with CICU training. Clean malpractice and medical license history. Willingness to relocate if not already living in the area.
Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join a well-established, state-of-the-art Cardiac ICU team. The Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist will provide specialized critical care to pediatric patients in a state-of-the-art 14-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). You will manage care for over 400 cardiac surgical cases annually in the only congenital heart surgical program in the area. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team supporting ECMO and congenital heart catheterization programs is essential. Participation in the care within a dedicated 24-bed tertiary Pediatric ICU and a newly opened 30-bed pediatric emergency department is expected. Support for pediatric and neonatal transport services will be part of the responsibilities. The role includes contributing to academic activities with residents rotating through the ICU. You will ensure adherence to best practices in pediatric cardiac critical care. Engagement in procedural sedation services is required as part of a premier children's service provider. Leadership and continuity in patient care through a rotating schedule, including on-call and weekend duties, are involved.
