Lead Conveyor Engineer – Bulk Material Handling
An industry leader in bulk material handling systems is seeking a Lead Conveyor Engineer  in Alpharetta, GA to oversee the design and execution of complex conveyor projects from concept to commissioning. This is a high-visibility leadership role working closely with senior engineering and project management teams to drive technical accuracy, on-time delivery, and coordination across internal and external resources.
Key Responsibilities
Lead conveyor system design using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Belt Analyst Develop general arrangement drawings, chute/tower layouts, and foundation interfaces Define power requirements and specify mechanical components Coordinate efforts across mechanical, structural, electrical, and vendor teams Manage third-party engineering partners and detailing support Support erection sequences, shipping logistics, and construction coordination Report weekly progress, manage engineering hours, and lead design reviews Participate in post-project evaluations and lessons learned
Qualifications
~ 5+ years of recent experience in bulk material handling conveyor design Strong background with CEMA conveyors and heavy industrial systems Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Belt Analyst Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Familiarity with hydraulic/electrical components and AISC fabrication standards
