On-Board Engineering is hiring a Project Manager: Industrial CAPEX, in Spokane, WA!
Position Details: Position Type: Full-Time Job Location: Spokane, WA Benefits: Paid time off, paid holidays and health benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (roth and traditional) Compensation: $55 - $80/hr based upon qualifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safe execution of all projects while working with appropriate HSE personnel - ensuring all government agency requirements (i.e., permits, notifications) are satisfied. Manage the execution of capital investments (normally in the $200k to $10M range) through their entire life cycles in areas assigned: including prioritization, scope development, risk assessments, budgeting, engineering/design, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, startup, and project closure documentation (while following 6-Sigma and DFSS methodologies). Integrate plant personnel to ensure results that meet the needs of the plant Customers. Working knowledge of capital project management process, including FEED requirements and stage gate processes. Work closely with the business finance and site controller to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed projects. Manage the overall effort leading to an approved Appropriation Request (AR). Prepare bid packages and requests for quotes for materials, equipment, and services. Prepare and issue work packages to construction. Monitor and control projects to meet the stated objectives and metrics commitments in the AR (both managed and in areas assigned). Working knowledge of Project Controls (Estimating, Scheduling, and Cost Control). Responsible for monthly forecasting, earned values calculations, and managing capital expenditures. Interface with key site and company personnel to make maximum use of available resources. Such functions include site engineering resources, purchasing, operations, procurement, and business engineering, as well as equipment vendors and contracting firms. Handle necessary eMOC items in areas assigned and PSSR requirements on projects assigned. Oversee appropriate maintenance and records of all drawings, specifications, and programs are setup at site level for flawless PM programs. Advocate for strong safety awareness program with a consistent implementation of policies and procedures and participate in construction safety audits and contractor safety meetings. Additional to managing several projects, responsible for working with Business Capital Leaders to manage a portfolio of projects at one of the two sites. This function will require the candidate to assign appropriate resources from within team (balancing work loads), ensure all goals and metrics of the team are met or exceeded, assist in yearly capital planning efforts, evaluate performance of team, identify and implement gap closures to improve processes, and improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of site team. Demonstrate the ability to form and lead teams in the resolution of problems and the application of sustained solutions. Demonstrate excellent people and project management skills - coaching, motivating, enhancing, and encouraging teamwork
MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering 5+ years' project management of multiple capital projects
