Position Summary
This full-time Senior Water Resources Engineer - Project Manager (P.E.) role focuses on leading hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and stormwater design projects. This position combines technical expertise with project management, offering the chance to mentor junior engineers, manage client relationships, and deliver high-impact water resources projects.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Lead and manage H&H modeling and stormwater design for transportation, municipal, and private-sector projects. Oversee the design and analysis of drainage systems, detention/retention facilities, cross-drainage culverts, bridges, pumping stations, and bank stabilization improvements. Prepare and manage proposals, design plans, technical reports, and cost estimates. Direct and mentor junior engineers and CAD designers, providing technical guidance and career development support. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key Skills
Expertise in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GIS (ESRI ArcMap), AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office. Strong communication and client management skills with a proven ability to lead teams. Ability to manage multiple projects in a schedule-sensitive, client-focused environment. Education & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or the ability to obtain within one year. Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation. Minimum 10 years of experience in stormwater hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) modeling and project management. Familiarity with water quality and environmental permitting requirements. Location
