UCP Central PA is seeking caring individuals and families who want to make a lasting difference by welcoming an adult with an intellectual disability into their home. Lifesharing isn't just a program-it's an opportunity to share your household, your routines, and your family life with someone who will become part of it.
As a Lifesharing Provider, you are not only supporting someone's daily needs-you are inviting them into your home as a valued family member. You will: Provide day-to-day care, including assistance with personal needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting if needed. Support and encourage participation in family activities, hobbies, and community outings. Facilitate medical appointments, prepare nutritious meals, and assist with feeding (if necessary). Maintain supervision, complete required documentation, and follow state regulations. This is a unique, rewarding opportunity to build a meaningful relationship while making your home a safe and supportive place for someone to grow and thrive.
As an independently contracted Lifesharing provider, you must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates for these independent contractor opportunities must:
Be at least 21 years of age Possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation Hold valid vehicle insurance and homeowners/rental insurance Pass a background check
Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or autism is preferred, but NOT required.
