Use your expertise to support animals in need! The Menagerie by AWL is a nonprofit thrift store benefiting the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County. We receive a wide range of donated items-from vintage artwork to luxury labels-and your knowledge could help us identify high-value pieces and price them accurately to raise more funds for rescued animals. We're looking for volunteers with experience in areas such as: Art, antique, or vintage home decor appraisal

Authentication of name-brand clothing, handbags, and accessories

Jewelry assessment (costume or fine)

Researching maker’s marks, labels, or hallmarks

Determining resale value of rare or collectible items

As a Volunteer Appraiser/Authenticator, you may help with: Reviewing incoming donations to identify high-value or rare items

Advising staff on accurate pricing for specialty pieces

Helping spot potential counterfeits to avoid misrepresentation

Occasionally assisting with special events or curated displays
