We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Engineering Manager specializing in Mechanical Engineering within the Industrial HVAC industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mechanical and HVAC engineering operations within our organization. This position involves managing various projects, coordinating with other departments, and leading the engineering team. The Engineering Manager will ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee, manage, and coordinate all phases of in-house projects from initial planning and feasibility, through design and specification. 2. Lead and manage a team of engineers, setting clear goals, managing project loads, and allocating engineers to projects within their capabilities. 3. Ensure all mechanical and HVAC projects are completed within budget and on schedule. 4. Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering team that comply with safety regulations and industry standards. 5. Review and approve all mechanical and HVAC designs and changes. 6. Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily. 7. Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs. 8. Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members. 9. Spearhead various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for new projects and improved processes. 10. Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors. 11. Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the construction industry, with a focus on HVAC systems. 3. Proven experience in an engineering leadership role. 4. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, HVAC controls, and mechanical engineering. 5. Excellent management and supervisory skills. 6. Valid professional engineer (PE) license. 7. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. 8. Strong negotiation and communication skills. 9. Proficient in the use of Revit software. 10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 11. Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations. 12. Ability to draft and interpret specifications, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
