Job specification
Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Acute Care Telemetry Unit, including staffing, mentoring, training, and performance evaluation. Monitor patient care standards to ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and compassionate nursing care. Direct daily operations of the telemetry unit, including resource management, workflow coordination, and equipment oversight. Ensure unit compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and Joint Commission accreditation standards. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other clinical teams to promote optimal patient care plans. Candidate requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in an acute care or telemetry setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) or related specialty preferred.
