Household Goods Inc
Summary: Drive Household Goods’ vehicles to pick up donations and/or for special events.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the truck has fuel and is loaded with supplies (tools, hand truck, straps, receipts, etc.).
Oversee truck crew and ensure all passengers wear seat belts.
Safely drive truck to various locations
Plan a route, follow map or GPS directions and safely drive to various locations.
Determine if items are acceptable (usable by clients, clean, functional, in good working order, with all parts).
Inspect items for health and safety issues (e.g., stains, rips, broken or missing parts, mold,infestations, etc...).
Respectfully refuse any items that do not meet Household Goods guidelines.
Request tax-deductible donation.
Understand Household Goods’ needs (items, volunteers, funding).
Neatly and accurately record items and cash donation on Donor Receipt.
Enthusiastically thank donors for generous donations.
Ensure that goods are safely secured in trucks.
Assist in unloading of trucks at Household Goods.
Qualifications: Valid MA driver’s license
Clean driver’s record
25 years of age or older
Availability: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday mornings
1 shift available: Shifts available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 08:45 to 12:00 EST
