Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a dynamic acute care position requiring flexibility and current licensure.
Responsibilities Acute care setting with majority inpatient and some IRF/Rehab unit coverage Work with a diverse patient population including ICU, PCU, ortho, stroke, and cardiac cases Days schedule, primarily Sunday-Thursday 8:00-4:30 with flexibility to adjust to Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday as needed Single-building assignment within a rural East Texas hospital Uses Allscripts - Paragon EMR Join a supportive, team-oriented department with 5-6 OTs on weekdays and 1-3 on weekends Thorough training and orientation on processes and EHR provided Work with a collaborative group of OT, PT, and ST professionals Facilities are stroke and cardiac certified; most severe trauma patients are transferred elsewhere Dress code and scrub requirements will be discussed during orientation Candidates must not have been directly employed by associated facilities in the past year Rural work environment in a friendly, patient-focused department
Requirements 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience required Active, unencumbered Occupational Therapist license (state or compact NLC); license required if applicable Active OTR and BLS certifications required at time of consideration Pending licenses or certifications not accepted Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from past 12 months, one peer or supervisor from past 3 years Copy of driver’s license required
