Position Summary
We're looking for a dependable and safety-focused
CDL Class A Driver
to support our
local operations . This isn't just a driving job - it's a vital position that keeps our business moving and our production teams supplied.
As our driver, you'll play an essential role in our day-to-day success by transporting goods
between nearby company facilities ,
loading and unloading trucks , and
pitching in with warehouse operations
when needed. You'll be home every night - no long hauls or overnight travel - and you'll enjoy a
steady, full-time schedule
with
year-round work .
What you will get to do:
Operate a company-owned tractor to transport products to and from warehouses.
Use a forklift to load and unload trailers and trucks.
Assist in loading outbound trucks when not driving.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck and work area.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on trucks and trailers.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Shipping and Warehouse Coordination team and other departments.
Represent Nordic Ware professionally when interacting with internal staff and vendors.
Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
Uphold a high standard of personal accountability and attention to detail in every task.
Enjoy a consistent, year-round schedule with local routes - home every day!
What you'll bring to the role:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for at least 5 years
Must be able to pass a DOT-approved physical exam.
Forklift operation experience
Familiarity with shipping procedures and plant operations
Ability to follow special instructions with attention to detail
Strong math and computer skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Eagerness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
Requires the ability to distinguish and interpret auditory information.
Must be able to observe and interpret details at both near and far distances.
Frequent bending and twisting
Periodically move or lift materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
Ability to move materials using floor jacks and two-wheelers
