Job Description
Job Duties include: Responsible for grinding, sanding, cleaning, or polishing objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools. Responsible for controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding and polishing processes. Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met. Verify quality of finished work pieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions. Record product and process data on specified forms. Trim, scrape, or deburr objects or parts, using hand tools and equipment. Transfer equipment, objects, or parts to specified work areas, using moving devices. Expectations:
Meet productivity goals. Meet quality goals. Understanding of manufacturing capabilities, processes, and procedures Must manage and complete multi-functional tasks quickly. Must be willing to work in a fast paced, intense environment, with the ability to complete assignments. Must be willing to wear a respirator mask. Availability to work overtime to meet deadlines. Other duties as assigned by Manager. Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The employee frequently is required to walk or stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
