Back End Engineer

Responsibilities of the Back End Engineer include: • Develop ground satellite operations software using Python and AWS services • Build Python microservices deployed to cloud or on-premise environments with a focus on scalability, security, cost, and performance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including satellite operators and software engineers to gather requirements, implement features, and resolve issues • Optimize resource utilization and automate processes using Kubernetes and AWS best practices • Contribute to the efficient and reliable operations of thousands of satellites
Qualifications for the Back End Engineer include: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field • 4+ years of professional experience in backend development, DevOps, or a related role • Proficiency in Python and Java or C++; experience deploying and maintaining software in Kubernetes • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EFS/EBS, EC2, and RDS • Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting APIs, distributed NoSQL and relational databases, caching systems, and event-driven multi-tier architectures • Experience building containerized applications and serverless architectures • Strong background in task automation and CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub or GitLab • Must have an Active U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
Compensation for the Back End Engineer includes: • Salary Range: $120,000 - $175,000 depending on experience • Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
