Job Summary:
Rochester General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled
Vascular Operating Room Registered Nurse
for a 13-week assignment. This role is for an experienced and independent professional who can perform endovascular cases without assistance from the Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vascular surgery and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment, including Level I and II trauma settings.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications Experience:
A minimum of
3 years of Operating Room experience
is required. At least
2-3 years of recent Vascular experience
is strongly preferred. Must be able to independently perform
endovascular cases . Previous
Charge Nurse experience
is required.
Licensure & Certifications:
A current
New York State RN License
is mandatory to submit. BLS
certification is required.
Skills:
Proficiency in a wide range of vascular procedures including Aortic Aneurysm repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, and TEVAR. Expertise in
Trauma
procedures, including gunshot and stab wounds. Knowledge of
infection control ,
radiation safety , and
specimen handling . Experience with
emergency management , including code response and fire safety protocols. Proficiency with
Epic
charting system is preferred.
Additional Information Patient Ratio:
1:1 On-Call:
Required, 1 per week and 1 weekend per month. First-Time Travelers:
Accepted, but must have extensive vascular surgery experience. Local Candidates:
