Description
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting in the dental treatment of patients, including seating patients, providing dentist with instruments and equipment, and mixing filling and impression materials. Cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for specific dental procedures. Assisting in the preparation of cast models by preparing required materials, taking impressions of teeth, and pouring and trimming models. Take and download oral radiographs used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Record treatment results on patient's dental record; instruct patients in the care of teeth and appliances; provide instructional materials as required. Schedule and confirm appointments. Requisition dental supplies and equipment. Perform routine maintenance on instruments and equipment. Perform other duties as needed. Requirements
REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Minimum of one (1) year experience in a dental practice or completion of an accredited, approved Dental Assistant program; Bilingual preferred; Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients and co-workers; Basic Computer Skills demonstrating specifically basic skills in word, excel, inter office email systems.
