The Role
As a
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
you will design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure across the entire stack-ranging from core build and deployment systems to user-serving servers, data pipelines and storage systems to trading platforms and research infrastructure. Design and build core systems that result in higher efficiency for eng teams. You will play a critical role in supporting both real-time and batch workflows, ensuring scalability, performance, and high reliability for mission-critical systems.
This is an individual contributor role, utilizing your subject matter expertise to lead various efforts along with cross-functional leads to drive critical decision-making with regards to the core systems and infrastructure.
What You Will Do Maintain and evolve key infrastructure at Arta, this includes build and deployment infrastructure Enable engineering to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting both real-time and batch workflows, with a focus on high-throughput, low-latency data processing for autonomous trading, quantitative research, and user-serving servers with high uptime. Maintain cohesive design across multiple different projects as well as scopes in a way that manages the complexity of our cloud projects Contribute to architectural decision-making, documentation, and mentoring of teammates in infrastructure best practices and automation strategies. Collaborate closely with frontend, research, and trading teams to ensure infrastructure and data pipelines meet performance, precision, and usability needs. Integrate third-party platforms and data providers, ensuring secure and reliable API/data stream ingestion, and handle complex external data integration challenges. Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies in distributed systems, optimizing performance and resource usage. Own deployment pipelines and production operations to ensure

Who You Are
At least
7 years
of overall software development experience Extensive experience with multi-cloud environment such as
AWS/Azure , and preferably
GCP , along with cloud-native technologies Proficiency in
Python ,
C++
and
Bash
for infrastructure automation and tooling Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g.,
Docker, Kubernetes ), orchestration technologies, and
infrastructure-as-code tools
like
Pulumi A deep understanding of security best practices in cloud environments Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively with frontend, research, and trading teams Strong problem-solving and optimization skills, with experience tackling complex scalability challenges, including user-serving infrastructure with high uptime Prior experience in
trading platforms or financial systems
is highly preferred Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced startup environment Authorized to work in the US Based in

We determine your salary based on factors including your interview performance, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our offers are based on salary bands that are updated periodically using market benchmarks and consider geographic location as well (for example, higher cost regions like San Francisco or New York). If you are presented with an offer, we will review the base salary, benefits, number of options, notional option value and strike price. We would like to know if you accept our offer within 7 days.
Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.
