JOB SUMMARY:

Take the lead role in managing all aspects of benefits administration of the SAI colleague benefit program including health, dental, vision, COBRA, Flexible Spending Accounts, life, disability, and other voluntary benefits across the US. Responsibilities will include resolving inquiries related to benefit eligibility and enrollment, addressing questions from all colleagues, with a focus on prompt and accurate problem resolution. Additionally, play a pivotal role in managing relationships with benefit vendors, overseeing file feeds, troubleshooting errors, maintaining colleague records, administration of billing and payment records, colleague eligibility tracking, proposing strategic plan or vendor changes to the management team, implement new carriers, and assist with ensuring we stay current on any or all compliance updates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*:

Benefits Specialist: Provide issue resolution for questions regarding benefit eligibility and enrollment, benefit questions, and other problems for all colleagues. Manage the benefit vendors including maintaining file feeds, troubleshooting errors, researching compliance changes, and sustaining the relationship between vendor, company, and colleagues. Manage new vendor implementation from marketing to coverage launch. Update and maintain the benefits knowledgebase via Microsoft SharePoint and ADP Workforce Now Prepare and process benefits reports for audits and finance reports as needed. Coordinate the administration of 401k plan with the payroll coordinator and audit the plan periodically. Prepare non-discrimination testing for required plans annually. Prepare end of the calendar year benefits documents such as form 1095-c and 1094-c. Design graphics, flyers, websites, and ADP WFN home page to maximize communication of benefits to colleagues. Draft emails, policies, and proposals for clear communication of benefits related information. Consistently refer to current benefit policies and documents to ensure they are complete, and administrative practices are aligned with ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and all applicable regulations. This will ensure SAI benefit programs are administered in compliance to all local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain the benefits and onboarding portals on ADP WFN to trigger enrollment events, discontinuance of coverage, and for HRIS data integrity. Review and audit colleague information and benefits enrollments using the HRIS system. Process the billing for benefits vendors each month and cross train the HR Administrator. Collaborate with payroll to ensure the correct application of deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and additional or temporary projects as needed. Constantly develop, research, and propose new benefits programs or changes to fit the needs of a diverse multi-state organization. Manage the open enrollment life cycle from introducing new carriers, updating the HRIS system, and hosting colleague educational meetings. Assist and support management with negotiating new contracts with our insurance broker and provide guidance with any new benefits projects. Produce and lead the virtual and site-specific companywide health fairs with the rest of the HR team. Present reports, introduce speakers, and provide trainings for 300+ people companywide. HR Generalist:

Create and develop ideas for different ways to keep colleagues engaged. Cross train with the HRIS Analyst to complete reporting tasks for benefits and other function of HR. Coordinate cross functionally with internal committees to fulfill requests. Complete tasks as assigned by senior management, HR team members, colleagues, and external vendors. Direct colleagues to the right resources and how to answer questions. Continuously research labor laws and collaborate with the HR team on best practices and standard operating procedures. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Be able to problem solve, maintain confidentiality, be adaptable to keep track of competing priorities, join in on team collaboration as well as work as a self-starter to complete projects as assigned. Excellent verbal/written communication and inter-personal skills; organizational skills, including ability to: prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and enforce deadlines, maintain flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals and to take initiative; must have reasoning and problem-solving skills, excellent computer skills and have ability to maintain detailed records. Ability to handle stress especially when encountering necessary projects, deadlines and/or high workload. Strong character traits required including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity, and honesty. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

BA/BS in related subject such as Human Resources, Business, or equivalent combination of training and experience. EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

Minimum six years administrative experience HR certification strongly preferred (e.g. SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) Previous experience with self-funded benefits plans strongly preferred. Minimum two years benefits administration or HR generalist Experience with web-based communication and enrollments Presentation, excel, and public speaking skills. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be willing to travel 10-15 days throughout the year. Must be able to work at a computer terminal and on a computer keyboard for long periods of time. Must be able to work extended hours and periodic weekend work if necessary. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
