We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Application Support Engineer - EDI to support and manage our global EDI platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the EDI infrastructure, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring compliance with life sciences industry standards (GxP, SOX, FDA, etc.), and collaborating closely with business and IT teams across geographies.

Essential Functions:

Support day-to-day operations of EDI integrations involving customers, suppliers, logistics partners, and third-party systems.

Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and mapping documents for EDI transactions

Configure and manage EDI tools and translators (e.g., Liaison/GSX, Boomi). Learn and provide support for other applications for tracking.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Compliance) and external partners to onboard new trading partners and maintain existing integrations.

Troubleshoot data translation issues, transmission failures, or integration errors, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business disruption.

Maintain EDI documentation including process flows, partner specs, mapping guides, and troubleshooting procedures.Participate in system upgrades, UAT testing, and production rollouts with a focus on business continuity and compliance.

Additional Responsibilities:

Familiarity with APIs and modern integration approaches alongside traditional EDI.

Understanding of supply chain processes (order management, logistics, invoicing) in a pharmaceutical or life science context.

Prior experience supporting global deployments across time zones and working in a follow-the-sun model.

Experience with ERP platforms (JDE, SAP, or equivalent) and their EDI modules.

Familiarity with validation, audit, and documentation processes in a GxP/SOX-compliant environment.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
