JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer to join a leading supplier of avionic-standard aircraft communications, navigation, and audio/intercom systems. This role will be responsible for leading troubleshooting and repair efforts for RF CCAs.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair RF CCAs down to the component level, identifying root causes of failures in both analog and digital domains.
Document failure modes found in troubleshooting for use in product improvement / re-spin efforts.
Develop troubleshooting methods for use by manufacturing engineering and quality to create work standards.
Perform RF testing, tuning, and alignment of assemblies using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other specialized test equipment.
Collaborate with design engineering to provide feedback on recurring issues, design improvements, and corrective actions.
Create failure analysis (FA) reports and documentation for internal teams and customers.
Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve first-pass yield.
Conduct detailed circuit analysis, signal integrity evaluation, and component characterization as needed.
Software/Tools Used:
Test Equipment: oscilloscopes, network analyzers
IPC standards
FAA/EASA Certification requirements
MIL-STD test practices
8D, FMEA
