About the role(s):
We are hiring two Applied AI Engineers with the same technical skillset but different areas of focus (see below). The interview process is the same, team matching will happen at the end of the process: Applied AI - Core External Products & Internal Tools Build AI-powered workflows, agents, and full-stack applications that power our customer-facing products and internal teams. Much of this work is open source and contributes directly to the LangChain/LangGraph ecosystem. Applied AI - Marketing Build LangChain- and LangGraph-powered agents that make our marketing, sales, and growth teams more efficient. Work closely with Marketing Ops, Sales Ops, Growth, and Data to design, prototype, and deploy agents that automate workflows, run analysis, and accelerate pipeline generation. You will:
Implement AI workflows and applications end-to-end, from design and architecture through production deployment. Design and iterate on novel agent architectures to solve real-world tasks. Build and maintain evaluation pipelines to test and improve agent performance. Stay current on emerging AI trends and translate them into actionable solutions and technical guidance. Clearly explain technical concepts and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. (Marketing track) Partner closely with Marketing/GTM teams to identify high-impact opportunities for AI adoption and communicate measurable business value. (Core track) Collaborate with product and engineering to ship new customer-facing AI products and internal tools that expand what LangChain can offer. How to be successful:
3+ years of software engineering experience including 1+ year building AI applications professionally. Experience implementing evaluations for agents/workflows. A subject matter expert in the components that make up an AI application, and how/when to best utilize each: prompting/context engineering, retrieval methods, agent architecture, LLM inference APIs & what LLMs preform best in specific tasks (e.g. Gemini for multimodal). Strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript, ideally both. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Startup DNA. The ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment. Views unstructured environments as an opportunity to figure out the most impactful work and help drive he future success of the company. A naturally curious person, always interested in learning new skills and growing as an engineer. Nice to Have:
Expertise in LangChain/LangGraph. Experience in Applied AI research roles. Experience building full-stack applications end-to-end, including both design/frontend & backend implementation. Processionally proficient in both Python and TypeScript. Experience maintaining open-source projects.
