Job Responsibilities Perform thorough physical assessments and comprehensive evaluations of patient histories Assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical conditions through imaging studies and lab result interpretation Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment plans Offer intraoperative assistance, including operating room set-up, patient positioning, and instrument management during procedures Deliver outstanding pre- and post-surgical care, which encompasses medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Clinical rotations with a surgical focus are preferred Certifications
Current and unrestricted
PA-C
certification BLS
and
ACLS
certifications are necessary Applicable state licensure as a Physician Assistant (or eligibility) Skills
Strong grounding in surgical principles and sterile procedures Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests and guiding complex clinical decisions Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Adaptability in high-stakes environments, particularly in surgery Compassionate approach paired with a deep respect for patient dignity and independence Benefits
