Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Lead Building Engineer
to handle the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant building environment.
Key Responsibilities
Building Operations
Monitor and assess building systems to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct routine rounds, inspections, and system tests.
Maintain accurate logs, readings, and data sheets.
Maintenance & Repairs
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
Service refrigeration, chilled water, hot water, and air conditioning equipment.
Repair and install motors, pumps, compressors, valves, filters, and piping.
Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in electrical (single/three phase), mechanical, and control systems.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards.
Properly store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
Oversee contractors, ensuring they follow building procedures and safety rules.
Contractor Oversight
Coordinate and supervise contractor activities within the building.
Provide training and guidance regarding critical building systems.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in building operations, facility maintenance, or similar role. Have some prior experience with HVAC
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications:
OSHA 30 required.
Technical Skills:
Building automation systems (BAS), VAV boxes, pneumatic and DDC controls.
HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water, and heat pump systems.
Electrical troubleshooting (single and three phase).
Plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems.
Software Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Experience with Honeywell automation systems.
