Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will provide essential maintenance support to perform electrical and plumbing tasks as well as preventative, building, and grounds maintenance. Training is provided for the right candidate, showing initiative, drive, determination, and teamwork.
Provide general and detailed maintenance and repair work as required
Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance.
Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.
Completes all documentation for work performed promptly.
Works alongside others to perform the duties associated with events, including executing the setup and breakdowns promptly.
Respond to emergency call-ins (on scheduled days), including but not limited to during storms, natural disasters, chemical-related emergencies, building maintenance, etc.
Maintains appropriate service and repair records.
Experience with:
DC Rectifiers
DC Controllers
3 Phase Electricity and Motor Control
Electric Motor Installation
Pump Installation/Replacement, Pump Seal Replacement
Basic HVAC experience is helpful, but not required
Documentation Experience:
Work Order Completion w/computer software
P.M. Completion w/computer software
Continuous Improvement Experience
Organization and Inventory Experience
Equipment Calibration w/documentation
Safety Inspections of Equipment w/documentation
Education/Experience: Certificate of Completion from Technical School or College or a combination of education and experience.
Skills (Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with fellow employees.
Mathematic Skills: Ability to calculate equations specific to position.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, follow and interpret both written and oral directions, and ability to read/interpret diagrams and prints specific to position.
Physical Demands: these physical demands are representative of those needed by a qualified individual to successfully perform the essential tasks related to the position:
A qualified individual must have hand dexterity to use tools, to feel and inspect objects/equipment, controls, and to reach, grab, and pull. The qualified individual is frequently required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
A qualified individual must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities for this position include close and distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered for this position.
Risk of electrical shock
Exposure to humid/wet conditions and/or airborne particulates
Exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals (Protective Equipment Provided)
Occasionally works at elevated heights on a ladder or lift
Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
Occasionally works near moving mechanical equipment
Noise level in the work environment is moderate

8 Hour Shift/Day Shift, 40 hours/week (evenings as needed ).
