About the Role
As a
Durability CAE Engineer , you will lead the durability assessment of vehicle subsystems such as suspension, body, powertrain, battery pack, interiors, exteriors, closures, and seating. This role combines
CAE analysis
with
testing activities
like test plan development and correlation, while also driving design optimization and durability requirement definition. You'll collaborate closely with design, testing, and compliance teams to deliver robust and innovative products.
Key Responsibilities Perform
strength, stiffness, and fatigue analysis
for vehicle subsystems. Correlate
CAE results with physical test data . Create FEM meshes from CAD or sketches. Support design teams to ensure parts meet durability requirements. Work with tools such as
nCode, ANSA, MetaPost, OptiStruct, HyperWorks, ADAMS . Document all durability analysis and test results. Contribute to
new CAE methods, process automation, and tool benchmarking . Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
or related field. 2-5 years
of experience in CAE durability analysis, testing, and validation. Knowledge of
linear/non-linear analysis, fatigue, and optimization . Strong fundamentals in
structures and mechanics of materials . Proficiency in CAE tools:
ANSA, HyperMesh, HyperView, MetaPost, nCode, OptiStruct . Understanding of
vehicle performance requirements, load cases, and validation plans .
