STUDENT EMPLOYEE - A&E Center Welcome Desk Building Attendant

The Ithaca College Athletic and Events (A&E) Center is home to Glazer Arena (a 130,000-square-foot field), Higgins Stadium (a 108,650-square-foot outdoor stadium), the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium (a 47,000-square-foot indoor aquatics facility), the Wheeler Tennis Courts (featuring six regulation-size outdoor courts), the Bredbenner Gallery of Champions (featuring a hall of fame display), in addition an athletic training room, a strength and conditioning weight room, and various locker rooms.

With a venue as large as and offering as much as the A&E Center, there are many activities and events throughout the space as well as the year. Your role will be to greet and welcome faculty, staff, students, visitors, guests and spectators with friendliness and professionalism while offering pertinent activity or event information and/or directions to facilities in the building as well as on campus. Opening and closing the building as well as regular walk-throughs and checks will be required on a regular basis.

Primary Duties:

Overall supervision of the A&E Center Facility and Operations Provide a high level of customer service for all A&E Center users/visitors and for ongoing activities Provide support for opening and closing the A&E Center Provide support for all A&E Center events before, during, and after Follow and enforce front desk operation, building access, and safety procedures - also implement and follow the facility Emergency Action Plan as needed Assist professional staff members with office work including filing, data entry, and administrative support for the daily operations of the A&E Center Assist with day-to-day facility scheduling and implementation of the schedules Other tasks as assigned Applicants must be available to work:

Early mornings and/or late evenings Weekends During college breaks (Fall Break, Winter Break, & Spring Break) 10+ hours a week (maximum of up to 20 hours) Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Drop Box Knowledge of 25 Live or R25 Computer Scheduling Systems Must be flexible, customer service oriented, excellent communicator, and willing to enforce facility policies and regulations Must be willing to work varying hours of operation without on-site supervision Experience and or desire to work with student activities, and/or athletic and recreation events
