Engineering Project Coordinator
Hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm.
The primary responsibilities of the Engineering Project Coordinator is to provide project coordination support to the Design Engineering team and serve as a key resource for project cost analysis and new project estimating. The Engineering Project Coordinator will also complete administrative Engineering system related requests that aid the Design Engineering department in industrializing new products and meeting their project/departmental objectives. The Engineering Project Coordinator will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering tasks and projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget. The Engineering Project Coordinator may work with customers directly, on an as-needed basis, to complete engineering related project documents and/or approval forms. The Engineering Project Coordinator may perform other ad-doc duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities: Adhere to all company policies, safety compliance, operational/quality procedures, and business ethic codes. Facilitate recurring project coordination meetings with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that new project industrializations and product qualifications remain on track per the project schedules Perform product cost estimating and analysis, and generate Brentwood quotations for new business opportunities Prepare product costing models in Microsoft Excel and re-quote existing manufactured items on as needed basis. Complete requests for setting up new manufactured item masters in ERP system Complete requests for setting up the Bill of Manufacture and Routing for new items in ERP system Process Engineering Change Requests and perform updates to ERP to Item Masters, Item BOMs and routings Work independently with internal and external customers to complete engineering support related tasks such as Engineering Change Requests, Engineering Change Notices, Deviations, Material Definition Forms, etc. Exhibit strong working knowledge of Brentwood operating systems and software (Syteline ERP, PDM, CRM, etc.). Maintain all engineering project files with the most current information in Engineering PDM vault system. Follow and adhere to Brentwood's Quality Management System (ISO-9001/ISO-14001/IATF-16949) Adhere to procedures and work instructions related to Brentwood's Product Industrialization process. Essential Skills:
Associates of Science degree in engineering or similar technical related discipline. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or similar technical discipline is a plus. Prior experience in engineering project coordination, engineering support or engineering administration role is a plus. 2 years, or greater, work experience preferably in Engineering, Design or Manufacturing is required. Experience in plastics manufacturing industry (Thermoforming, Injection Molding, Extrusion) is a plus. Proficiency with 3D modeling software, such as Solidworks, is a plus. Individual must have good communication skills and be comfortable collaborating with a team on daily basis Ability to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve. Demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills. Proven teamwork qualities, with an ability to "think outside the box" and be creative with problem solving. Strong computer skills using Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Planner, OneDrive) Ability to effectively budget time by prioritizing and juggling competing priorities and ensuring the most urgent and important tasks are addressed in a timely manner
