As a pivotal player in this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, you will focus on strategically expanding the library's programs and community reach. Your expertise in advanced fundraising will be crucial as you lead efforts to secure philanthropic support for the Foundation's annual fund, endowment, and additional program support. Your responsibilities will include maximizing revenue through the Friends of the Foundation membership program, collaborating with the Foundation Board, and aligning with the Executive Director of the Library on shared goals. Key functions of this position involve conducting needs assessments for fundraising, managing a diverse donor portfolio, developing impactful fundraising campaigns, and providing comprehensive stewardship for all contributions received. To be considered for the Director position, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have 5-8 years of experience in fundraising and development, or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of applicable experience. A proven track record in cultivating donor relationships, executing major gift campaigns, and efficiently managing board relations is essential. You must have excellent communication and marketing skills, as well as the aptitude to represent the Foundation to the community and media with confidence. In this role, you will lead and supervise Foundation staff, ensuring that the organization's mission and values are adhered to with integrity.
