Primary Objective:
As the Houseman Captain, you are the linchpin in ensuring the flawless execution of banquet events, providing an essential service that is both physically engaging and critically important. Your role involves meticulous preparation, setup, and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring every detail aligns with the envisioned setup. This position demands a blend of strength, precision, and a keen eye for aesthetics, ensuring every event space is not only functional but also visually appealing.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare event spaces to perfection, setting tables with precise arrangements of plates, cutlery, linens, glasses, and other essentials as required. Execute additional tasks as identified by the setup supervisor or banquet manager to enhance event setups. Provide support during events under the direction of supervisory staff, ensuring seamless service delivery. Efficiently dismantle and store all event equipment, maintaining an organized and orderly environment according to banquet standards. Supervise both front and back-of-house operations across conference and event venues, upholding our high standards of food and service excellence. Tackle any other duties that may arise, always ready to contribute to our team's success. Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills. Competence in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to apply practical understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. A proactive approach to problem-solving. Physical Requirements:
Capability to perform tasks indoors and outdoors, under varying weather conditions. Endurance to maintain a high level of mobility for up to 5 hours at a time. Strength to lift items weighing 25-50 lbs and maneuver equipment weighing up to 200 lbs. Good physical fitness, including the ability to engage in a range of motions and maintain energy levels.
