Data Engineer
The Opportunity
Our client is building a modern data foundation to power analytics and AI across ticketing, marketing, and fan experiences. You will turn high-volume, multi-source data into governed, reusable assets that drive real-time decisioning and new revenue initiatives. The role partners closely with Ticket Sales, Marketing, Product, and Technology to unify Microsoft and Adobe ecosystems. Location
Inglewood, CA Schedule
Full time with flexibility for select evenings, weekends, and holidays to support major events Benefits
Competitive package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company contribution, well-being allowance, and additional perks What you will do
Assess current data environments and propose consolidation and optimization across Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Database, and PostgreSQL. Design a centralized lakehouse using a medallion approach that supports governed self-service, semantic consistency, and enterprise reporting. Move core business logic upstream into Fabric and refactor existing Power BI semantic models for scale and maintainability. Build and operate streaming data pipelines with Kafka for real-time and near real-time ingestion from IoT, ticketing, mobile apps, and partner platforms such as Ticketmaster. Integrate data from D365 Commerce and CRM plus Adobe Experience Platform components including CDP, CJA, AJO, Target, and AEM. Implement robust pipeline monitoring, alerting, and documentation so solutions are supportable across onshore and offshore teams. Optimize performance and cost across storage and compute while enforcing data quality, lineage, privacy, and security controls. Create reusable, AI-ready datasets that support ML feature creation, advanced analytics, and activation in marketing and product use cases. Publish clear runbooks, patterns, and best practices for data governance and secure data management. 90-day impact
Platform maturity
Deliver a production-grade Fabric lakehouse zone with medallion layers for at least two priority domains. Real-time enablement
Stand up Kafka topics and pipelines for one high-value feed and land minute-level freshness where the business requires it. Model alignment
Migrate a set of Power BI semantic models into upstream Fabric layers with documentation and monitoring in place. Tech environment you will touch
Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Kafka, Dynamics 365 Commerce and CRM, Adobe AEP components (CDP, CJA, AJO, Target, AEM), SQL, Python or PySpark, Azure orchestration tools such as Data Factory
What you bring
5 plus years in data engineering with a focus on architecture and pipelines at scale. Strong experience designing lakehouse and medallion patterns and moving semantic logic upstream. Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, and Power BI. Proven integrations across D365 Commerce and CRM, Adobe AEP, Kafka, and API-based sources. Proficiency in SQL and either Python or PySpark for transformation, orchestration, and automation. Track record building streaming pipelines with Kafka and delivering low-latency feeds to downstream systems such as Adobe. Practical data governance, privacy, and security knowledge with the ability to document and enforce standards. Experience collaborating with offshore teams, including handoffs, runbooks, and production support practices. Clear communicator who can translate technical detail for nontechnical partners and lead projects from design through rollout. Comfortable in a fast-moving environment and willing to support a flexible schedule tied to live events. Why this role
Shape the core platform that will power personalization, real-time fan experiences, and AI initiatives. High visibility across revenue, marketing, and product with room to influence standards and tooling. Modern stack with the support to implement best practices the right way.
