Start your journey with OBE and help us build the future The Maintenance Technician Day Shift is focused on troubleshooting equipment, determining appropriate repairs and part replacement, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment and reports to the Maintenance Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who can troubleshoot, inspect, and repair machines and equipment. A vital member of the Maintenance Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader! Job responsibilities include: Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, including repair and installation of machinery and equipment, as assigned by the supervisor. Monitor and ensure plant equipment operates within designated performance parameters. Troubleshoot equipment issues using electrical meters and replace defective parts as needed. Assemble, install, test, and inspect machines and equipment; assist with preventative and routine maintenance tasks. Support equipment upgrades, including part fabrication, and perform other duties as assigned. What we are looking for: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with hands-on operation of grinders, drill presses, saws, lathes, milling machines, and other equipment; skilled in altering and repairing fixtures and tools, and sharpening tools. Strong industrial electrical background, including use of electrical meters; ability to diagnose and repair electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; proficient in troubleshooting and fabricating repair parts using machine shop equipment. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; capable of reading blueprints, plant layouts, equipment manuals, and schematics with sufficient visual acuity. Solid understanding of basic arithmetic, algebra, and geometry; knowledgeable in PLC-operated equipment including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and IDEC systems. The pay range for this position takes into account many variables such as experience, education, skills, interview and geographic location.
