Context

We are looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to provide ongoing development services to our customers. You will be working in our US office, located in Bellevue, WA, in a small team and have regular customer contact. Your Responsibilities

Defining the best way to implement embedded system features with support from senior embedded engineers Creating custom Yocto distributions, layers, and recipes Customizing U-boot, the Linux kernel, and device drivers Developing or customizing board support packages (BSP) for our customers' custom hardware to provide additional functionality: system updates, security, boot optimization, etc. Scripting and developing middleware with Bash, Python, C, or C++ What is a VIE Program? It is an international program, supported by the French Embassy and Business France, that allows you to join our US team for 18 months. Youll be part of our local engineering team and be working on our local IoT projects. Please note, this program is only open to European citizens, aged at least 18 but not yet 29. What to expect after the VIE program: Witekio sees the VIE program as a long-term investment, and several of our current software engineers are ex-VIEs. 5-year degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with specialization in embedded systems Must have experience with Yocto or Buildroot, the Linux kernel, and drivers C/C++ development capability Embedded development experience in tools like JTAG probe usage, logical analyzer is a plus Fluent English is required since all the work is performed in English What Witekio has to offer
