Certification Reviewer Team Lead- Atlanta

Pay Grade: M Workplace: Remote Travel: 20-50% statewide Job Summary: Reporting directly to the IDD Certification Manager, provides oversight and leadership to a team responsible for certification reviews of the IDD Provider Network. Conducts reviews of providers for compliance with rules, regulations, standards, and policies. Acts as subject matter expert in policy reviews. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support provider reviews, incident management, investigations, and corrective actions. Primary Responsibilities:

Supervise, manage, evaluate performance and support a team of certification reviewers, assisting them in succeeding in their work and professional development. Support providers with guidance and insight into practical application of policies, regulations, and guidelines related to IDD services. Responsible for oversight and quality assurance of certification reports and related products. Maintain and organize certification and travel schedule for certification related work. Verify and confirm timesheet submission for payroll administration. Maintains working knowledge of all rules, requirements, policies, provider manuals etc. that are used to evaluate provider performance. Evaluates provider performance and draws conclusions based on evidence provided to develop findings of deficiency and/or to certify a provider. Prepares detailed, thorough, and accurate review findings by incorporating data analysis, data interpretation, policies and rules which describe complex and/or technical information that can sustain legal challenge. Works closely with other staff to ensure review survey instrument adequately reflects provider requirements, policy, rules, regulations, laws, etc. Acts as subject matter expert in field of expertise (nursing, behavior, general IDD services, etc.). May serve as team lead during reviews. Requests and evaluates corrective action plans. Provides timely feedback to providers throughout the corrective action plan process. Evaluates evidence of implementation of corrective actions, via documentation or onsite review. Completes accurate, thorough, and timely entry of data into multiple databases. Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, with providers and other stakeholders, including other DBHDD offices and divisions. Provides technical assistance to providers regarding policy, rules, and regulation requirements. Completes health and safety risk reviews to determine risks within provider services and certification eligibility. Uses critical thinking to determine risks to individuals being served. Represents DBHDD professionally during all interactions with providers and stakeholders. Travels statewide, approximately 50%, as needed. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nursing or Master's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, social work, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field Knowledge of DBHDD behavioral health and/or developmental disability services Direct care experience working with the IDD populations served by DBHDD Two years conducting reviews of behavioral health and/or developmental disability services Exceptional computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid Georgia driver's license For benefits information, please visit:
