Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: Scrub Tech - Scrub Tech Job Details: • Maintain sterile field in operating room with constant vigilance to prevent contamination and infection • Assist surgical team as sterile member passing instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery • Transport and position patients on operating table and cover with sterile drapes • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical field before and after procedures • Check, adjust, and operate equipment needed for surgery • Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available for cases • Label all medications on sterile field • Clean and restock operating rooms • Handle, assemble, and pass instruments safely during procedures • Prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens for lab analysis • Hold retractors, cut sutures, and apply dressings as directed • Share responsibility in counting sponges, needles, and instruments • Follow OSHA standards for PPE and Universal precautions • Wash instruments and assist in sterilization procedures • Scrub hands and arms and put on sterile operating room attire • Keep knowledge current with new procedures, techniques, and equipment • Utilize effective verbal communication skills with nursing staff, medical staff, and supervisors • Assist with learning needs of students and orientees • Complete CORE requirements and maintain current certifications required for position • Must be knowledgeable of compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs Facility: This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical services department with multiple operating rooms providing a wide range of surgical procedures.
