As a
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
at CAES by Honeywell Lansdale, you'll be the technical backbone of our production floor, transforming complex challenges into streamlined solutions. Your expertise in
SMT and electro-mechanical integration
will directly shape the performance, efficiency, and reliability of mission-critical aerospace and defense systems. Deliver Engineering Solutions : Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for the fabrication, assembly, and integration of advanced electro-mechanical assemblies
Define the Process : Create and maintain detailed production routings and assembly work instructions that align with engineering drawings and quality standards
Resolve with Precision : Partner with production and design teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure seamless execution
Shape the Future : Contribute to the development of new production methods, process improvements, and competitive bids and proposals
Estimate with Accuracy : Analyze drawings, models, and specs to prepare labor and tooling estimates for fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing
Optimize the Floor : Lead layout planning for equipment and production areas to maximize flow and minimize lead times
Plan for Growth : Support capital equipment planning with ROI analysis, formal requests, and documented operating procedures
Design for Manufacturability : Ensure product designs meet DFM standards and support new product introductions through design reviews and production ramp-up
Apply Engineering Excellence : Use your knowledge of standards, principles, and techniques to generate creative, effective solutions
Own the Metrics : Monitor daily production activities and implement improvements that boost efficiency and reduce waste
Solve What Matters : Investigate and resolve technical problems with autonomy and strategic thinking
Champion Continuous Improvement : Apply lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping to elevate performance across key metrics
Travel Ready : Occasional travel required-up to 10%
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering). 4 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a manufacturing environment with focus on mechanical assembly. 4 years' experience in SMT processes, materials and methodologies 4 years' with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license). Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferred: Masters and 5+ years' experience with SMT as a Manufacturing Engineering with focus on mechanical assembly. Intermediate SolidWorks knowledge. Ability to design fixtures and tooling in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of equipment programming (Laser 3D printing) Hands on operations and manufacturing engineering experienced. Aerospace or Defense Experience. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and principles. Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Salary Range:

$89,755 - $134,633 annually;
Manufacturing Engineer IV
