They are seeking a
Sr. Robotics/Firmware Engineer
to join their Austin-based team and take ownership of the embedded robotic pipeline for a surgical robot. This is a chance to work on cutting-edge technology in a highly regulated, mission-driven environment where your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes. What Youll Do
Build and deploy embedded system software/firmware for production. Develop algorithms for hardware interfaces (motor controllers, I/O boards, etc.). Collaborate cross-functionally to align hardware and software requirements. Own the embedded software pipeline for a robotic surgical system. Write design documents and follow regulatory standards and guidelines. Participate in rigorous testing, debugging, and root cause analysis. What Were Looking For
Masters degree (or higher) in Robotics, Electronics, or related field. 3+ years of relevant industry experience in firmware/robotics. Strong expertise in
C++ , embedded systems, and real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience with
robotic arms, motion planning pipelines, and firmware debugging . Proficiency with
Linux, Altium, MPLAB X IDE (or similar),
and version control systems. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, and multi-processing. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Why Join?
