Roving Apartment Maintenance Technician
We are seeking to hire a skilled Roving Maintenance Technician based in North Dallas, Texas, to support multiple apartment communities across the region. Your role is to provide general property maintenance and repair services across a portfolio of communities while delivering excellent customer service to our residents and onsite teams. Gaines Investment Trust North Dallas Region Multiple Locations Compensation: $22 - $24 per hour (based on experience) What You Will Do: Travel between assigned properties to support maintenance operations as needed Complete work orders involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general upkeep Diagnose and repair heating/cooling systems and components Prepare apartments for new residents by completing thorough make-readies Assist with grounds maintenance and curb appeal when necessary Communicate effectively with property teams and residents Serve on the emergency on-call rotation and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment across properties What You Will Bring: 1+ years of hands-on maintenance or make-ready experience in multifamily housing Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required) Strong troubleshooting and repair skills Flexibility to adapt to different teams and work environments Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to manage multiple priorities independently HVAC and CPO certifications preferred but not required Strong time management and attention to detail Benefits: 20% Rent Discount Employee Assistance Program PTO, Paid Holidays, and a Floating Holiday Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life, and AD&D Insurance Flexible Spending Account 401(k) Retirement Plan Pet Insurance Why You'll Love Gaines Investment Trust: Not only do we invest in our propertieswe invest in YOU.
