Supporting the MPI (Machine Parts Intelligence) snowflake datalab productionalization
[productionalization requires working with the IT group in order to take our SAS programs/output datasets and convert them into 'IT owned production code/data tables']
Working closely with IT group to interpret and validate that the converted code/output datasets in production match our current datasets Required trainings to learn SAS, Snowflake, and SQL Required trainings to learn about the MPI program Candidate will be key contact from the IT group for questions on productionalization Secondary/Future work:
This individual could eventually be supporting analytics-based research projects, data visualization (i.e., Power BI), and/or ad hoc data analysis in aftermarket parts inventory management. Potential to support Machine Learning based research projects. Team has clearly defined purpose and goals to support our aftermarket inventory management business through research/simulations/analytics. We create regular opportunities for open discussion and ideas. We support personal development and professional growth. There is a strong atmosphere of helping each other out and team mentorship is strong as well.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will need to work with our (research) team to learn SAS code/SQL/Snowflake and the MPI program Self-guided trainings will be required as needed. Requires detailed discussions and note taking to develop understanding of our current processes and what is MPI, etc. Regular meetings working together with MPI team in order to learn about program Data validation will become an important regular task. Eventually the candidate will become main contact between research team and the IT group to have MPI datalab productionalization moving forward to completion Technical Skills Required:
Either Python or R or SQL, and/or related technical software Microsoft Office Products Desired:
Experience with SAS and/or Snowflake (cloud data) Experience with Dataiku Experience Power BI or Tableau Utilizing machine learning models and/or deep learning (AI) Enthusiasm for big data processing, research, analytics, and problem solving Soft Skills Required: Demonstrates teamwork, initiative, and interpersonal skills Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively verbally with PowerPoint Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate concepts using data visualization, if needed Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in an Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or Related Degree Program with quantitative and technically challenging coursework with 0-2 years' relevant experience. Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (no rounding) at current institution.
