Senior Network Analyst - Columbia, SC or Richmond, VA
Dominion Energy is looking to hire a Senior Network Analyst in either Columbia, SC or Richmond, VA to support Dominion's Data Network. Primary job duties include, but not limited to: Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Monitor network resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning. Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. The successful candidate must keep current with regulatory and industry standards, trends, and practices and assist in the development of pertinent Dominion Energy policies and procedures. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience: 7 years of networking experience. Investigating and diagnosing incidents and problems relating to DDI (Infoblox DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and related services. In-depth knowledge of Infoblox DNS, NTP, IPAM, BIND, and DHCP. Strong engineering and operational skills in Enterprise routing and switching environments. Deep understanding of network routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, OSPF. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including network diagraming. Must be self-motivated, a collaborative team member, and able to work with many teams on large projects. Skills not required but considered a plus: MPLS, Cisco ACI, CISCO ISE, SD-WAN technologies, Wireless SolarWinds (NPM, NCM), Firewalls (PA, Fortinet, ASA) Cloud-based connectivity (AWS, Azure) F5 Big IP LTM RoIP, Multicast, Voice over WLAN, WiFi Packet decoding technology Experience with NERC CIP environments Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Preferred Discipline(s): Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math or Business or technical equivalent. Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
