Overview

Field CAT Adjuster role at Chubb. The Field CAT Property Claim Adjuster assesses property damage, investigates claims, and provides customer service to policyholders during catastrophic events. Responsibilities

Complete onsite inspection of properties to investigate facts, evaluate damages and write estimates. Deploy to catastrophe areas promptly to assess property damages and evaluate the extent of loss. Evaluate contract language and identify coverage issues. Develop the file to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis. Maintain an active file diary toward resolution. Recognize and pursue recovery; identify potential fraudulent claims. Adhere to statutory and regulatory fair claims practices. control the use, work product, and expenses of outside vendors. Evaluate claim facts and negotiate claim settlements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. Contribute to the teams goals, objectives and results. Support workload surges and Catastrophe Operations, including extended hours during designated CAT events. Establish and maintain rapport with insureds, agents, and underwriters. Provide excellent customer service to a diverse client base. Qualifications

Full knowledge of personal and commercial insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements, and insurance regulations; experience in commercial claims handling is a plus. Corelogic/Cotallity or similar estimating platform experience required. Aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Innovative thinker with ability to multi-task. Strong customer service skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience handling complex claims with large exposures. Ability to work in multiple systems and use provided technology to estimate damages in the field. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Empowerment to make decisions within authority and execute the company mission. Must be able to travel at short notice and work extended hours during peak periods or in response to catastrophic events. Must obtain Property and Casualty Adjuster license within 6 months of employment. About Us
