Position

The Inventory Coordinator provides inventory, purchasing and production support to the Production Team at our Illinois manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Inventory Coordinator also supports lean initiatives by assisting with Kanban activities, productivity metrics and audit reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inventory transactions and maintain and ensure accurate inventory records. Identify, research and report any raw material and/or WIP inventory discrepancies. Calculate production efficiencies and report results according to pre-established productivity metrics. Assist with Kanban activities such as card counting, Wire Kanban and Fastener Kanban. Support monthly 5S Audits by tracking progress and charting results with teams. Create, enter, track and receive purchase orders. Conduct follow up with suppliers on lead times and status updates. Work with Maintenance and Tool Operators on purchasing needs. Follow S80 guidelines and rules. Provide support to outside vendors when needed. Complete general office duties and perform other tasks as assigned. Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with inventory control (preferably in manufacturing environment). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Strong communication skills - both written and Strong PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Physical Requirements

Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch. Ability to use hard tined rake to move/break apart parts frequently. The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50
