Job Description Summary

Can you help us develop the future of flight? We're advancing flight for our customers, and we need engineers who can help us innovate. The GE Aerospace Engineering Team is looking for experienced mechanical design engineers who are ready to work on the fastest growing engine in Aviation history, GE9X. The GE9X engine is forecasted to enter service in 2026, creating a generational opportunity to be part of a team introducing a widebody aircraft and engine system to the field.

Within the Lifecycle Engineering team, as the GE9X Additive Part focal and Combustor Module Cost and Producibility Leader, you will lead the combustor mechanical design team efforts for Additive Part Design and Deliver as well as redesign efforts to support cost and producibility improvements. At this key pre-Entry into Service (EIS) phase of the GE9X program, you will play a critical role in preparing the team to identify and execute solutions for delivery and cost shortfalls before EIS. In this role, you will take ownership of overseeing additive part projects including redesigns for durability, producibility and cost, and problem solving for additive delivery. You will serve as the main focal for producibility and cost efforts within the Combustor module. It is with your efforts that the GE9X program will be well positioned for a predictable and on time EIS.

As the GE9X Additive Part focal and Combustor Module Cost and Producibility Leader, your judgement will be paramount in the success of the desired team outcomes which will require you to have the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters with advice from your peers.
