Job Title: Protection and Control Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Protection and Control Engineer to design and develop protection and control systems for substations. The role includes performing short circuit, load flow, and protection coordination studies, specifying and configuring protective relays and control equipment, and developing engineering drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities
Design and develop protection and control systems for substations.
Perform short circuit, load flow, and protection coordination studies.
Specify and configure protective relays and control equipment.
Develop and review engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEEE and NERC.
Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
0-4 years of experience in substation design, protection and control, automation, and programming.
Knowledge of substation protection and control systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Resource management skills and the ability to identify and mitigate project barriers.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Capability to work extended hours or after hours if needed.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position for candidates with 0-2 years of experience, preferably based in Pittsburgh, PA, or Overland Park, KS. For individuals with 3-7 years of experience, this role can be remote. The work environment embraces a remote work culture and offers opportunities for growth into leadership roles.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.06 - $50.00/hr.
