Kratos is seeking a Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cloud engineering on various platforms. The position supports dynamic, fast-paced projects that span all phases of the Software Development/Software Test/System Engineering lifecycles, including requirement review/updates, design, development, test, and customer support.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience defining, developing, designing, and implementing Cloud architectures on various cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and others (GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Alibaba and other CSPs)
Deployment and integration of containerized software workloads using Docker, Kubernetes (K8S),
Automation of cloud infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation and similar IaC structures
Candidate to leverage knowledge of various cloud platforms to architect develop and design an implementation that is platform agnostic
Knowledgeable about design solutions that comply with requirements of Zero Trust Architecture
Cloud native solution designs that comply with industry standards of Cyber Security and Operations
Design and implement scalable and robust cloud infrastructure capable of supporting real-world, operational missions
Manage security logging, monitoring, and alert triage and participate in security incident response and investigation
Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, customers, as well as communicate with subcontractor support
Provision, configure, administrate, automate, monitor, and support enterprise and project cloud services
Effectively interface with the customer, subcontractors, and a cross functional development, design and test teams
Effectively work with cyber security teams to architecture solutions and gather solution evidence that supports attaining the Authority to Operate (ATO) for US Gov projects.
Effectively utilize Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) for data transfer across multiple environments
Travel as necessary to support system integration, testing, and customer meetings (expected to be ~ 10% average annually)
Be a strong team player and leader to the project team and to the organization
Maintain a US Gov TS/SCI clearance
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields with a specific focus on Cloud design and system implementation in various cloud environments and software integration experience
Experience with Various CSPs (Cloud Service Provider) platforms, with specific experience in AWS, others of consideration, Azure, GCP, Alibaba
Experience with Terraform & Ansible design and implementation and other IaC implementations, experience in implementing a platform agnostic solution
Understanding of and experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
Hands-on experience deploying or integrating with Keycloak (or similar) for single sign on in a K8S environment
Hands-on experience deploying software workloads on Docker and K8S via docker-compose, Helm or similar technology.
Understanding of and experience with DevSecOps workflows. Understanding CI/CD pipelines
Ability to articulate technical concepts orally and in written form.
Experience providing estimates for accomplishing relevant cloud development, implementation, migration, and testing tasks
Experience working on US Gov programs and active contribution to artifacts required for Authority to Operate (ATO) and / or Interim Authority to Test (IATT)
In depth understanding of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, HTTP, …
Experience using the Linux Operating System
General IT/Cloud automation knowledge and experience
Ability to attain and maintain an US Gov SECRET and TOP SECRET / SCI clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
RMF/Cyber Experience
Experience using Windows, Unix and other Operating Systems
Experience with various IaC (Infrastructure as Code) platforms)

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $135,000-$175,000
